Best all in one sports supplement
72
Now days there are so many things that supplement companies are telling us that we need to in order to get stronger, bigger and more ripped. If you were going to take all these things it can be very time consuming and annoying, trust me I've tried! This is where a good all in one formula comes in and why they have become so popular. You can get things like protein, carbohydrates, added glutamine, BCAAs, ZMA and HMB amongst other ingredients all in convenient one shake. The only problem with most all in one shakes is the taste becomes slightly compromised due to all the different ingredients that get packed into them.
Low cost
One of the cheapest all in one's is Optimum Health’s Ultimate One, quality however is compromised due to price but at £22.99 for 2.2kg it is good value if your on a tight budget. It contains a good protein blend, standard creatine monohydrate, glutamine and HMB. It's not the greatest list of ingredients for an all in one but for the price its not too bad. The carbohydrates used is purely maltodextrin, better than sugar but not as good as some of the more expensive all in ones.
Good value and quality
Reflex One Stop is one of my favourites. As with all of the products I've used from Reflex it contains extremely high quality ingredients and has a reasonable taste. It contains high quality proteins, complex carbohydrates (very little sugars), creatine monohydrate (patented creapure) beta alanine, ZMA and digestive enzymes to help with absorption. You won't need to take much else with this one, only thing it really misses is some HMB, but overall a great product.
Sci-mx Omni Hardcore has a very impressive list of active ingredients. Very high levels of quality proteins, slow and fast release carbohydrates, BCAAs, glutamine, two types of creatine along with beta alanine to provide a tri-creatine formula, ZMA, HMB. Very impressive however all these ingredients have very interesting tastes individually and they have been unsuccessful in trying to mask them. It is the worst shake I've ever tasted and really makes it difficult to drink, so I'm sorry not a good one for me despite the great ingredient list.
USN Muscle fuel is the best tasting shake I have ever had, it is creamy and thick even when mixed with water let alone milk. It contains great quality protein from 4 different source to provide a time released protein, low glycemic carbohydrates, added glutamine and BCAAs. It is more like a meal replacement as it doesn't contain things like creatine, ZMA, HMB or beta alanine but neitherless fantastic tasting and reasonable value.
High Price
Maximuscle's Cyclone is one of the original all in one shakes and because of this and Maximuscle's well known status in the supplement industry is one of the most popular all in ones available today. However as with most of Maximuscle's products they take advantage of this and therefore get away with charging the highest prices. Don't get me wrong Maximuscle Cyclone is a very good product with quality ingredients (high protein, good carbohydrates, HMB, quality creatine monohydrate amongst others) and is fairly good tasting, but there are many similar good quality products for much lower prices.
Winner of Best All in One
The winner is NRGFuel TTP Anabolic. The big brother of the original TTP (The Total Package) from NRGFuel, the anabolic version has everything possible to will ever need to take and all in one reasonably tasting convenient shake. It contains a triple protein complex, triple carbohydrate complex, creatine (monohydrate, ethyl ester, tri creatine malate, triple glutamine formula, arginine, BCAA, beta alanine, HMB and zinc complex. With all this ingredients they have managed to make the flavour reasonable. Overall everything you could need, pre and post workout and you can even take it as a meal replacement.
